Günther Schützenhöfer

*1965, Austria

Günther Schützenhöfer was born in Mödling, Lower Austria and lived in various care facilities in Austria before coming to the Gugging House of Artists in 1999.

His work focuses on pencil drawings of ordinary objects represented in his own perspective so that they receive almost abstract shapes. He has developed a style of parallel lines that run in different directions and overlap each other, partially created through shading with a pencil. Sometimes he accentuates his drawings with strong coloured pencils.

His works can be found in The Museum of Everything, in the Peter Infeld Private Foundation (Peter Infeld Privatstiftung), Austria, and in the collection Steinke, Austria.
